After going neck and neck the whole game and being tied in the second quarter, the annual Battle of the Oar ended in a loss for the Falcons against Ransom Everglades, 26-34.
“…our quarterback and running back had a really good game,” sophomore Danilo Otzoy said. “The quarterback had a really good touchdown [that] they got called back, and the running back, they were good on offense and defense.”
Sophomore receiver Hudson Truby, however, said he thinks the team needs to work on their offense and defense.
“I just think genuinely, we could be more composed and communicate a little bit better with each other,” Truby said.
Despite the loss, some of the boys hope to win their next games.
“I feel confident,” sophomore Nathaniel Bell said. “We’re not going to let this one loss bring us down because, as a team, we’re still strong. It’s only one loss so I feel that we can come back and win the next one.”
