Cross country teams end most successful season yet
POINTS LEADER: Senior co-captain Jade Leon shoots a shot to score points for her team. Leon is one of the leading scorers on the Varsity team and has been a part of this team for five years. “I’m really sad that its my last year on this team, Leon said. Coach has helped me over these five years to be the player that I am today.”
Girls varsity basketball season off to a positive start
Unlocking the wonder of STEM education, students from all grades and places visited our school to participate in the SWE Next Event. One of the girl scouts of Troop 314 from Cutler Bay, Lucia Fajardo (5th grade), shares that her “group activities were really cool! My favorite person was the one who worked for Disney! I loved building the bridge at the end and eating gumdrops!” Inspired by the speeches, Lucia intends to stay involved with STEM with no hesitation.

STAMP SESSION: As senior Parkman Steinhour stamps his finger onto the balloon, his fingerprint becomes visible. “This lab was really cool because you don’t really expect all the crevices and stuff to show but they are actually super noticeable on the balloon,” Steinhour said.

SAY CHEESE: While waiting in line to take their pictures, seniors Ali Garcia and Isa Monzayet practice their smiles with each other. Im almost 18 years old but I want my picture to capture the girl I was 10 years ago, Monzayet said. I always wore bows in my hair or had my hair in pigtails when I was little. I always had the biggest and most innocent smile on my face so I wanted to try and replicate that again.

THE STORY OF A STORYTELLER: Hiaasen speaks to the Middle School about his experiences as a writer. “I always wanted to be a writer, I knew from a very young age I wanted to be a writer, he said in an interview with PTTV. My first ambition was to be a sports writer and cover baseball or something. Ive always liked to sit down and write and create. I was lucky. For some people, it takes a long time to figure out what they want to do but I knew from a very young age and I lucked out and it worked out for me.”

Anastasia Saldivia, PTTV reporter

Anastasia Saldivia is a senior at Palmer Trinity School. In addition to working on the PTS broadcast team, Anastasia is involved in clubs at school such as the Future Doctors of America Club, Plate For Purpose Club and several honor societies such as the National Honor Society, Hispanic Honor Society, and the Science Honor Society. Her goal is to positively contribute to Falcon Student Media by bringing in new ideas and sharing interesting topics with the school.

The varsity girls volleyball team sits on the sidelines cheering for the JV team that was playing at the time on Oct. 5 during Dig Pink. The annual Dig Pink volleyball game series support and raise money for breast cancer awareness. “It’s one of my favorite games of the year and I love our pink jerseys,” varsity player Kierra Roa said.
